The iMedJelly application serves as a comprehensive tool providing real-time, daily updates on the presence of jellyfish along the Catalan coast. Designed for both safety and scientific purposes, the app offers several key features:

• Daily Reports: Detailed summaries of the current state and jellyfish populations on beaches across the Catalan coast during the summer months. These reports specify species, abundance levels, and associated risk assessments, with data verified by specialists from the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC) in real time.
• First Aid Protocols: Clear guidelines on how to respond to jellyfish stings, focusing on the most common species encountered along the Spanish Mediterranean coast.
• Communication Platform: A contact form enabling affected bathers to consult dermatology and toxicology experts at Hospital Clinic of Barcelona for personalized follow-up. This feature also contributes to ongoing research within the RECLAIMED Project framework.
• Species Information: In-depth data on prevalent jellyfish and gelatinous animals native to the Spanish Mediterranean coast, complemented by an image gallery designed to aid in accurate identification.
• Citizen Science Initiative: The “Get involved” section facilitates public participation through forms allowing users to report sightings and upload photographs, supporting scientific research conducted by the Institute of Marine Sciences - CSIC.
